Sell you Chametz

Passover is a holiday that mandates our complete involvement, not just during its eight days but for weeks before. Aside from the regular holiday obligations, we are also commanded (Exodus 13:3–7): “No leaven shall be eaten ... For seven days you shall eat unleavened bread ... and no leaven shall be seen of yours [in your possession].”
Since it is prohibited to possess chametz (Leavened products derived from wheat, barley, oat, spelt or rye.) on Passover, any chametz left undisposed must be sold to a non-Jew.

Store away

All chametz, along with any chametz utensils that have not been thoroughly cleaned, must be stored away. The designated storage area should be securely locked or taped shut for the entirety of the holiday period.

Rabbinical Oversight

Since there are many legal intricacies involved in this sale, a rabbi acts as our agent both to sell the chametz to the non-Jew on the morning before Passover, and also to buy it back the evening after Passover ends.

The Deadline

Jewish law requires that your chametz be sold by the specified deadline for the location in which the owner will be on the day before Passover. Deadline in London is 11:46am (Please not that the deadline for eating chametz in London is 10:46am)
